Announcing Jane Austen Week

I have been wanting to do this for quite some time so now I just jump into it: my first blog party/theme week.

As I wanted it to be about something literary, what could be better than to spend a whole week dedicated to my favourite author: Jane Austen.

I still haven't planned the details but there will definitely be posts about her books, movie adaptions, characters and I'll probably also throw in a game and a tag.

The only way I can think of to make it even better was if I could get someone to write a guest post, so if anyone wants to write a post of anything Austen related I would be thrilled. (If you want to just leave a comment)

Now all that is left to announce is the date: it will be  from 25.-31 August.

If you want to participate in the week just leave comment. And if you want to, grab one of the buttons and put it on your blog so we can spread the word.

  1. Looks like fun! And a guest post...that would be fun, too. :-) I'm not exactly sure what my schedule will be at the time, but I might be able to do one. Would something on "Sisters in Austen" work well? I've been wanting to write something up on that for a while.

I hope to get one of your buttons up soon... And question: I'm planning something for my own blog in mid-October and I'm wondering how you got the grab boxes to appear in your post? Did you run across a tutorial for it somewhere??

    1. Thank you so much for commenting.
"Sisters in Austen" sounds like a brilliant idea. I'm so happy/excited that you would do it.

And regarding the grab boxes: when writing the post I simply switched to HTML format and pasted the code. Then it should show.
Looking forward to see what you are planning.

  2. Hi there! Just wanted to verify if it looks like everything will still work out for the party. And are you still interested in a guest post? If you are, I was thinking I'd start working on it soon. I didn't see your email address up here anywhere, so I thought if you'd like to keep it private, you could send me an email at: ladyofanorien(at)gmail(dot)com and I'll reply with my post. If you're still up for it and everything... :-) Just let me know!
