Let's Have A Theme Week

Remember back in October when I changed my blog name and talked a lot about my new vision for the blog? One of the things I promised was lots of posts about my love for the 40's and 50's.
And how many posts have I written on that subject since then?
A big fat zero.
But no more!!!

Things were so much more classy in the 1940’s, I swear! I was born in the wrong decade! Lol!:

For now I am hosting a 1940's Theme Week, which is basically just an excuse for me to post a lot about the 40's in a very short time.
I have been utterly and completely in love with the 40's this winter and I need to share my love for that decade with you all!

Now for the practical information. The theme week will take place 15.-21. February. It's still a few weeks away, but I've got loads of posts to write so the time should pass quickly.

I made a variety of buttons, and if you want to post one of them on your sidebar and help spreading the word, I will be absolutely thrilled!

    1. Is it even possible to talk of 40's music without mentioneing Glenn Miller? :)

  7. Hi, Rose, I found you through Heidi's blog, and well, I LOVE 40s films. So I may write a post or 2 for your theme week, if I may! Maybe even for Casablanca since I've just watched it for the 1st time ever. Pretty intense and remarkable film. I'm thrilled to have found your blog!

  9. I'm not sure how much time I'll have available to join in, but this party sounds like SO much fun! I'll have to do at least one or two posts for it. (Although I have a gazillion ideas haha) :)

  10. I just found out about this, and I'm going to write a couple posts myself for the week on my main blog, Hamlette's Soliloquy. I'm thinking one about my favorite tv show, Combat!, which is set during WWII, and one about my favorite movies from the 1940s. I love that decade so much!

  11. I wasn't sure if you were making a list of posts from other participants, but just in case you were, I've written 2 posts so far for your 1940s week, one on The Philadelphia Story (I didn't like the film and my post reflects those feelings) and the other on Casablanca (which is amazing). Just in case you needed them. :)
