I can't even express how excited I have been - this being my first blog party and all - but I am rambling now, off to the action.
As mentioned earlier I created a tag - because what kind of a party would it be without a tag?
Well, here are the questions:
When and how did you first get acquainted with Jane Austen?
Favourite Jane Austen book?
Favourite heroine?
Favourite hero?
What makes Jane Austen special to you?
What is your favourite adaption of a Jane Austen work?
I know it's kind of short but wouldn't want to overwhelm anyone.
If you end up answering it just leave a comment with the link so I can read your answers. (If you don't have a blog of your own you can also just answer it directly in the comment)
We have an exciting week before us. There will be games, opinionated posts about Austen' works, and hopefully lots of comments - it will be fun to hear what you all think.
I'm so excited, Rose! And I'll definitely be filling out the tag in the next couple days... I'm also very much hoping to post reviews for Persuasion for the party--both book and film--so I'll wait to see if I can get those up and then send in a link for all three together, if that's all right. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful. I'll be on the lookout for those.
DeletePersuasion is the story I know the least, so it will be fun to hear your opinion of it.
Here are my answers for your Jane Austen tag. I don't know how much of the rest of the week I can participate in but I couldn't pass up a chance to talk about Jane Austen.

I do have a blog, but I'm kind of busy at the moment, so I thought I'd answer these lovely questions in the comment box. I hope you don't mind!
ReplyDeleteWhen and how did you first get acquainted with Jane Austen?
Favourite Jane Austen book?
This honour definitely goes to my beloved Pride and Prejudice!
Favourite heroine?
Again, Elizabeth Bennet in P&P. But I also love Emma with her matchmaking!
Favourite hero?
Mr Knightley. Definitely! I love him so much! Especially since watching Johnny Lee Miller's performal!
What makes Jane Austen special to you?
Just because she's... amazing. I love her books, her witty-ness, the old-fashioned-ness. I just love her. She's epic.
What is your favourite adaption of a Jane Austen work?
Pride and Prejudice 1995, of course! It's my favourite movie in the whole world!
I also love the 2009 version of Emma.
Thanks, this was fun!
Oops I didn't answer the first question! What happened there?!
ReplyDeleteWhen and how did you first get acquainted with Jane Austen?
Ever since my mum bought P&P95 about five years ago. She's been a favourite ever since!
There. :-)
Lovely answers, Naomi, I enjoyed reading them very much.
DeleteI have some answers, if you would like to read them. :-)
